Let’s go through some of the things that drive me crazy in the self-help space: I frequently see the same information posted over and over just for views. I see horrible advice given all the time just because it sounds edgy or cool. I see authors preying on the desperate and confused. I see good information buried under piles and piles of useless drivel. And I never see all the good information in one place—it's always so spread out that you spend more time hunting for new information than actually implementing it in your life.

I take each of these instances of poor stewardship of the self-help community personally. I take them personally because I have unknowingly consumed ideologies that were detrimental to my success, only to realize too late their pernicious impact on my life.

Learning to Be Successful exists for two reasons:

#1 I will try to at least partially fix the problems I see in the self-help space.

My goal is to fix these problems I see, but I am not a self-help guru. I will publish the most useful information, no matter the source. Although I have many original ideas and philosophies, I don’t care about getting my ideas out. I only care about aggregating the most useful information in one place.

#2 I was already doing this, just privately.

I have been keeping track of ideas that I find useful for just under a decade and writing about them privately. The only difference is that I will now be publishing them online in hopes that other people can learn from them and possibly teach me a thing or two.

The Goal

The goal for Learning to Be Successful is for it to be a place that has all the most useful information to help you become more successful. No BS.
